ABOUT ME

Though some have given me the nickname “The Magic Hand,” there’s really nothing magical about me—just the deep love I feel from God! His presence guides me through both the highs and lows of life. God opened the door for me to move to America from Hong Kong on my own in the “last century.” At just 19, with two suitcases and $1,000 in my pocket, I arrived in the land of opportunity.

Since arriving in America, I’ve had a diverse range of experiences. I started by waiting tables at a Chinese buffet where I had to clean the toilets, before moving on to a Japanese restaurant, where I didn’t have to clean any toliets (definitely a promotion!)

I’ve also worked as a psychotherapist and served as a pastor’s wife, which has allowed me to connect with people from various cultures and backgrounds. Having once had to work hard to make a living, I believe that everyone deserves respect and dignity. This belief forms the foundation of Bethel Holistic Health.

I'm not a big fan of school and couldn’t care less about titles, but I absolutely LOVE studying functional biochemistry, especially as it relates to human metabolism, metabolic diseases, and nutrients—topics that aren't normally covered in medical schools nor continuing education seminars, and that many of my peers remain unaware of. My focus on research in my practice comes from the countless hours I spent writing papers on psychiatric issues in graduate school and reading research while working with a non-profit cancer research group. Currently, my research interests include eco-biology, biochemistry, metabolic diseases, biofilms, virology, and parasitology, in both Chinese and English.

I approach my work with originality, following neither "master's methods," textbooks, nor one-size-fits-all protocols. I've integrated Chinese medicine, psychological techniques, nutrition, and Western medical diagnostic tools into my practice to help individuals achieve optimal recovery and health by combining research with clinical application. Originally trained as a clinical psychotherapist working with psychiatric patients, many of whom were heavily medicated, I understand not only the importance of listening and providing emotional support, but also the harmful side effects of long-term medication use.

In addition to my deep understanding of both mind and body, it's my nontraditional and creative approaches that set me apart. I'm honored that people travel from as far as France to receive treatment from me. In my office, patients feel free to express their thoughts and concerns without fear of judgment. No matter how advanced medicine becomes, the most powerful and timeless treatments are still faith and laughter. That's why my office is always filled with humor, and patients often leave each session with a smile and a deeper understanding of their own bodies.
